farewell

President Gordon B. Hinckley the prophet of my church died yesterday. i will forever cherish his words. he was a man with a grand testimony of Christ. the impact that this man has made in my life is profound. he was a testament of service.

"My plea is that we stop seeking out the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life we 'accentuate the positive.' I am asking that we look a little deeper for the good, that we still our voices of insult and sarcasm, that we more generously compliment and endorse virtue and effort." GBH

"Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, but with great purpose in heart." GBH
.
.
i will miss seeing the twinkle in his eyes, but happy for him that he is reunited with his cute wife Marjorie.

mom.

today has been a great day. i have been given many handmade items, my bed was made, my breakfast made, and lots of hugs and kisses given. so fun, i treasure this motherhood experience and i know that i mess up a lot and strive to do better. the things that i do right i learned from mom. she was my cheerleader, my encourager, my laughter, my teacher, my example, my shoulder, and she still is. on this day i honor her and strive to become the mother that she is to me. an old proverb says "god can not be everywhere, therefore he made mothers." i am so grateful that he made mine.

Finally!

Last fall we all planted these tulips in front of our house. The boys have been following there progress and announcing the new colors and the new growth as each one blooms. I love spring! I love seeing the color emerging from the ground after looking at the gloomy colors all winter. We try to listen to The Music and the Spoken Word ever week I love the music but I must say I love the words of Lloyd Newell more. Last week he spoke of spring I have been think of his message each time we talk about our tulips.

Spring Always Comes
