design team challenge

now that I don't blog regularly it seems REALLY hard to get one post a week done.

not sure how I did it before.

where does time go? thanksgiving around the corner? HUH? WHAT?

boggles my mind!

anyways... it's all good. i love this time of year and i am going to try to SOAK IT UP!

on to the challenge. we were asked to make a project with this as the color inspiration.

NO friday's faves

my post vanished...i don't have the energy to do it again:) i guess it is a april fools joke on me. . i love friday. . yesterday was warm, the feeling that spring brings is pure delight. here is a card i did for a papercrafts submission that didn't get picked. (reject) i used the feb UNITY KOM "the best is yet to be". about this sentiment that i designed for unity, i really wanted a stamp that said..."lucky to know you". don't you have those people in your life that bring you such joy. you know the ones you don't know what you ever did without them around. now if i could just get my butt in gear and send them a card:) happy weekend friends. the weekend is close

I love making these boxes and having them on hand to throw some birthday goodies in for a girlfriend.

the tags are chipboard and I covered them with patterned paper.

the stamps used here I created for UNITY.  they are from the the kit “the best is yet to be” and I love that kit.

that butterfly was designed with paper piecing in mind and I was anxious to use it.

anybody watch team umizomi.  I was creating this stamp when that show was on.

they sing this song that goes “chirp chip tweet tweet”.  I decided to put that in the bird.

it is very catchy and I find myself singing it all the time.  couldn’t find that song but here is

a link to their theme song.

a new mix

 

it is time to preview a new Lizzie Anne mix.

I did some designing and photography for this reveal and I tried to use a different color combo.

no red.  sometimes it is hard, but variety is a good thing.

friday’s favs

1. my craft room needs help! BIG MESS IN THERE.

2. we are glad the husband is back home from a

LONG buisness trip, and happy he brought us these.

3. had  these  this week, hope they are gone forever!!!

4.  whoa! now that’s a wreath.

5.  amazing work.

the last 10 days have been crappy.  just sayin.

it was a rough week.  what have I learned? (on the bright side)

• I miss my husband when he is gone
• thankful for pain killers
• my parents and siblings rock!
• my kids are troopers
• things can always be worse, so life is good

I recieved a unity package last week of my itty bitty’s. I was so so excited.

I have a ton of stamps to get inky and I hope to get a chance to work with them soon

there is a special going on (free stamps) and this stamp “where you are”  is part of that deal.
